Larimore, Barbara - Originals

Barbara Larimore"In the fifth grade when my teacher put some irises in a glass and had us draw and color what we saw, I was hooked on art! But, the opportunity to study art seriously didn’t actually become possible until 1979. Along the way, I have been privileged to study with some of the finest master teachers, and consider the pursuit of art to be a “life’s journey.”

Barbara Larimore lives in north central Texas where she devotes her time to art and her custom frame business. She enjoys painting in “plein air,” and also works from photos from her trips across many states and abroad. She works in oils and pastels in an impressionistic style, and has been greatly inspired by the French and American Impressionists.

Her work incases varied subjects including landscape, waterscape, floral, and she particularly loves Texas and New Mexico landscape. Works have been accepted in many national shows, winning numerous awards. Her works may be found in private collections across the United States, and is represented by several galleries.
