Scheidt, Bill - Originals and Reproductions

Bill Scheidt began his artistic career as a painter in 1987, and took up full up full time easel painting in 1996. Largely self-taught, he has studied under John Cox at the Scottsdale Artist School as well as Roy Andersen, Joe Beeler, Jim Norton, R.S. Riddick and Bruce Breene in Cowboy Artist of America workshops. His preferred medium is oil on canvas, and his subject matter includes North America wildlife, the Native American and the life of the cowboy.

Bill has won numerous at shows including best oil painting and people’s choice. Shows include: Mountain Oyster Club, Tucson, AZ Phippen Western Art Show, Prescott, AZ, The Southwest Classic Invitational, Kerrville, TX, Alamo Kiwanis Western Invitational, San Antonio, TX and shows by the Texas Wild Bunch Professional Artists.

Advertisements for Scheidt’s work have appeared in Southwest Art and Art of the West Magazines.

In addition, Bill passes on his knowledge by teaching oil painting classes and workshops at the Highland House Studio/Gallery in Boerne, TX. He has also worked in concert with another artist on monument-sized sculptures and other large commissions.

A number of his paintings are available in limited edition giclee prints on canvas, and he has contributed many works to charitable organizations.
